I was on my way home from Spokane Washington about a year ago and I had to come through Winfield and I was getting very sleepy I had been driving for 18 hours and I couldn't go any longer. I stopped in to see if they had a room open. They had great prices and they were very friendly.
Yes, the hotel itself is a little old but the room was very clean & the service was excellent. The water is brown but that is expected when surrounded by lakes in Louisiana so we didn't mind. We had 10 rooms reserved & everything was ready in a timely manner, we even got early check-ins. The restaurant was good also. The Gumbo is homemade & very yummy!
